Today, we had the joy of welcoming a wonderful family: a father, his wife, their five joyful children, and the beloved grandmother of the family. What made their day special? A visit to the iconic Gishora Drum Sanctuary<\/a><\/strong>, followed by a vibrant Bujumbura City Tour<\/strong>\u2014a perfect mix of heritage and modern life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starting the Day: A Warm Welcome and Road to Gishora<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The day began with excitement and smiles. After a comfortable pick-up, we journeyed north to Gitega Province<\/strong>, home to Gishora Drum Sanctuary<\/strong>, one of Burundi\u2019s most sacred historical sites. Along the road, the lush green hills and peaceful countryside offered a perfect opportunity for the kids to see a different side of Burundi\u2014calm, natural, and full of charm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once we arrived, the family was greeted with traditional hospitality. The Royal Drummers of Gishora<\/strong> performed a breathtaking drum ceremony\u2014an experience that left everyone, young and old, wide-eyed with awe. The children couldn\u2019t take their eyes off the energetic dance moves and majestic sound of the Ingoma<\/a> (traditional drums)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even the grandmother, with deep emotion in her eyes, shared how this experience reminded her of her youth and the importance of passing down traditions to the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
