During the journey, travelers will pass through Burundi’s beautiful hills and countryside before arriving in Gitega to witness the powerful drumming tradition that symbolizes the spirit of the nation. Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet members of the Batwa community, one of the oldest indigenous groups in the region, and learn about their traditions and way of life.

Tour Itinerary

07:30 – Departure from Bujumbura

Your guide from M Travel and Tours Burundi will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Bujumbura.

The drive to Gitega takes approximately 2–2.5 hours, passing through scenic hills, rural villages, and beautiful landscapes.


10:00 – Batwa Tribe Cultural Visit

The first stop of the tour is a visit to a Batwa community, where visitors will learn about the traditions and daily life of this historic indigenous group.

During the visit you may experience:
