Price conditions

The group rate applies to guests booking together and travelling on the same date with the same itinerary.

Prices include transport, a driver, a guide, lunch and sanctuary entrance. Personal expenses and excluded services are payable separately. Any additional services must be quoted and agreed upon before charges apply.

Payment and balance

You may pay in full when booking or make a deposit of any amount. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 14 days before your arrival. For bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.

Cancellation and refunds

f you cancel:

7 days or more before departure: Full refund of the amount paid.

At least 48 hours but less than 7 days before departure: 50% refund of the amount paid.

Less than 48 hours before departure, or failure to attend: No refund.

Any amount retained will be reduced where we recover costs or resell your cancelled booking.

Changing your tour date:
You may request one free date change at least 7 days before departure, subject to availability. Any price difference will be confirmed before you accept the change.

If we cancel:
If M Travel and Tours Burundi cancels the tour, you may choose an alternative date or a full refund. If only part of the tour cannot be provided, we will offer an alternative activity for your approval or refund the unprovided portion.

Refund processing:
Eligible refunds will be initiated within 7 business days of confirming the cancellation, normally through the original payment method. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time to credit the funds.

Weather and changes

The drumming performance takes place outdoors. If it rains, guests may need to wait until the rain stops and conditions are suitable for the show to begin.

Your guide may adjust the timing of lunch and the return journey to accommodate any delay. Please allow some flexibility in your schedule.

If the performance cannot take place, we will discuss an alternative arrangement or refund the unprovided activity in accordance with our cancellation policy.

The tour departs from Bujumbura in the morning. Your exact hotel pickup time will be confirmed when booking. Please be ready 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup.

Return to Bujumbura is planned for the late afternoon. Road conditions and rain delays at the outdoor drumming performance may affect the schedule.

If you have a flight or another fixed commitment that evening, please inform us before booking so we can confirm whether the timing is suitable.

Children are welcome when accompanied by a parent or responsible adult aged 18 or over. Please provide each child’s age when booking so we can confirm suitable arrangements.

Children must remain supervised and follow the guide’s instructions during the performance. The drumming can be loud, so please contact us before booking with infants or children who are sensitive to loud sounds.
